<p>On February 18, the two-day Khelo India Women’s Championship Road Cycling came to an end at Eco Park.</p>

<p>The Kolkata Society of Cultural Heritage (KSCH) and the West Bengal Cyclists Association (WBCA) coordinated the event. The Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs as well as the Sports Authority of India (SAI) approved it.</p>
<p>At several road cycling races, around 250 female riders participated from Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, Uttar Pradesh, Assam, and Manipur.</p>
<p>Arpita Mukherjee gave a speech to kick off the event and discussed why it was being held for the second time in a row. She emphasized KSCH’s goal to utilize sports for boys’ and girls’ whole development, providing chances for a career in sports and encouraging social entrepreneurship.</p>
<p>The competition’s goal was to provide the top female athletes in each state a stage on which to compete.</p>
<p>The cycling championship, according to Sourav Mukherjee, President of KSCH, complies with the Sustainable Development Goals of the UN, which include preserving terrestrial ecosystems, gender equality, and sustainable gender development.</p>
<p>It should be noted that New Town is the first municipality in the nation to implement a bike rental program, allowing customers to rent a bike, go to the destinations of their choice, and return the bike after making the necessary payments. Every bike has a GPS installed. Additionally, it is the only municipality in the nation with a 35-kilometer graded bike route.</p>
