How Gujarat Titans Won Back-to-Back Finals in Ahmedabad in IPL 2023

Gujarat Titans (GT) made their second and last appearance in the Indian Premier League (IPL) at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

With only Chennai Super Kings (CSK) competing for the IPL 2023 trophy and to defend their championship on Sunday, the Hardik Pandya-led GT have been on a tear.

With 10 victories from 14 games, 20 points, and a net run rate of 0.809, GT finished first in the league stage of the IPL 2023. As GT needed to overcome Eliminator champion Mumbai Indians by 62 runs in Qualifier 2 in order to advance to the summit match, CSK defeated GT by 15 runs in Qualifier 1 to secure their spot in the championship game.

In the IPL, GT and CSK have already faced off four times. During the first qualifier in Chennai earlier this week, CSK defeated GT for the first time after GT won the first three occasions.
